Some wins look better early and not later and vice versa. Yes, you can be ranked above a team you lost to and you can have two losses and be ranked ahead of those with one or no losses. Why? Andre Williams- BC back now over 2,000 yards but only 38 vs.USC and 70 vs. Clemson Bits and pieces: Florida’s loss to Georgia Southern means the Gators have their first losing season since 1979. AD Jeremy Foley said 11 days ago that Muschamp will be back. I said two weeks ago after the Vandy game that despite Foley’s public statement supporting his coach, the score and outcome of the final three games would play a role in whether Muschamp gets a fourth year. Well, Florida hung with South Carolina. But the loss to Georgia Southern and the potential of FSU putting 60 on the board will make things interesting. One problem for Florida is that if Foley decides to make a change, who? When Foley hired Urban Meyer he was the “it” guy in college football. Florida is a great job, but who? Charlie Strong? That’s a $5 million buyout and does Strong make the Gator fan base scream with joy? Can Foley risk another coordinator hire? Doubt it. Will Muschamp might just have security because who is the hire that makes Florida fans feel like they got the best choice in the country?…Hey Oregon, you look an old WAC team. You remember the WAC? Where high flying offenses put up video game numbers on offense.
